Maxima have been engaged to source an experienced Maintenance Officer/Handyperson for ongoing work within a respected College located in the South West of Adelaide.
The Role
As mentioned, this role is within a prestigious College located in the Southwestern Suburbs of Adelaide. This role encompasses all aspects of maintenance and groundswork, and requires a candidate who has knowledge and experience in the following: painting, carpentry, roof plumbing, gyprocking, and groundswork including mowing, brush cutting, mulching, hedging, planting and pruning.
The Applicant
Applicants applying should be fit, versatile and able to work for long periods during the day. Along with their all-round maintenance/groundsperson skills, ability to operate various tools and machinery, and a positive attitude, the successful applicant will be required to effectively communicate and manage their time and work pace so as to remain on schedule with tasks.
The Requirements
- Previous paid work experience in the Building Maintenance/Groundsperson field (essential)
- Drivers Licence (essential)
- Police Clearance (or ability to obtain) [essential]
- Comfortable operating various tools and machinery (essential)
- Trade Qualifications in either of Horticulture (or similar) or Carpentry (desirable)
