FEDC is seeking applications from qualified line workers or electrically trade qualified persons for its powerline vegetation management contract in the Taree and NSW regions.
FEDC would like to hear from candidates that:
- are hardworking, ambitious and want to work in utility vegetation management;
- willing to undertake contract specific training;
- are committed to working safely and efficiently in an environment where sustained physical exertion is required;
- are proactive self-starters that will work diligently and autonomously without direct supervision;
- have good communication skills to enable them to liaise with residents and land owners, clients and other stakeholders;
- can demonstrate a history of consistent and reliable employment;
- have previously worked for Essential Energy or other distributor in the utility sector; and
- have a proven record of safe and incident free work delivery.
Selection Criteria
Applicants should have a:
- Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems- Distribution Overhead;
- minimum 3 years' experience at trade qualified level;
- current White Card; and
- current First Aid Certificate.
Applicants who are certified OTEN PLW's or industry trained PLW's with 3 years' trade experience and currency in the ESI will also be accepted. An unrestricted MR licence and previous experience in vegetation control is desirable.
