Le Bon Delice French Patisserie is located in the beautiful Village of Peregian Beach close to Noosa on the Sunshine Coast Queensland.

The business is owned & operated by award winning Pastry Chef Jean Jacques Le Faou for 11 years.

A rare opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Pastry Chef who has a calm and professional manner to join our team and assist in creating quality hand made artisan cakes and desserts. You will play an integral role within our Patisserie to shine alongside passionate professionals dedicated to their craft.

This is a fast paced full time role for a Qualified pastry chef, ideally with 4+ years experience. You will have excellent product knowledge & have experience in all French Viennoiserie & traditional French Gateaux.

You will also have the following:

  • Full time availability including early morning shifts
  • Ability to work hard with an experienced and fast paced team
  • Initiative and be highly self-motivated
  • Perform proper and safe operation of bakery equipment and utensils
  • Clear understanding of HACCP and OHS/WHS
  • Understanding of basic bakery theory and techniques including hand moulding

Skills & Attributes;

  • A minimum of 4 years as a Pastry Chef in a similar environment
  • Creative flair and industry passion a must
  • Excellent tenure & longevity in previous roles
  • Full qualifications essential
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Overseas experience will be considered 
    Be onshore and able to work full time 
    Friendly with an excellent work attitude 
    Able & willing to relocate if necessary
  • be able to deliver quality work to a consistently excellent standard
  • available to work weekends & public holidays.
  • maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment 
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Promote team morale and encourage teamwork
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Knowledge of natural fermentation and yeasted dough

Your main responsibilities would include:

  • Daily operation of the Pastry area working autonomously;
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen at all time;
  • Overseeing your relevant section and that all mis en place requirements are completed;
  • Having a good knowledge of products and services being offered and
  • Manage rotation of stock and minimising waste.
