About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has become available for a trade qualified Mechanical Fitter to join the rollingstock maintenance operations in Whyalla. This role will be key to guaranteeing the ongoing operations of GWA’s rollingstock fleet.
About You:
- Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Demonstrated Experience in Heavy Industry
- Excellent problem solving skills
- A commitment to safety
- Ability to work on a 24/7 roster
- The ability to work as part of a team
Desirable Selection Criteria:
- Rollingstock examination
- Field maintenance of rollingstock including derailment recovery
- Driving/operating field service vehicles & mobile lifting equipment
- Scheduled servicing, unplanned maintenance and modifications to rollingstock
- Maintenance and repair of fixed plant and workshop equipment
