Archimedes Engineering, part of the Wulguru Group is a leader in the material handling industry & has an opportunity for a skilled Fitter & turner to join our Brisbane based workshop.
About the Role
This position will report to the Workshop Supervisor and will be heavily involved in the manufacture, assembly & installation of screw conveyors, Elevators & various other mechanical equipment.
We are looking for someone to take the lead within our team to control and handle a variety of machining tasks.
Key responsibilities/requirements will include but not be limited to:
- Certificate III Engineering / Mechanical Trade
- Demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings and machine to tolerance
- General machining tasks in our Redbank workshop
- Overtime & weekend work expected & from time to time as required
- Final fit out & assembly of machined & fabricated components
- Potential to join our site team on projects if desired
- Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance and workplace health and safety
- Own standard trade tools required
- Current C (car) class drivers licence
- Immediate start
