Tarrawarra Estate in the heart of the Yarra Valley covers 368 hectares of natural bush land, vineyards and manicured gardens - spread over the various business units on the property.

A position has become available for an experienced and reliable Groundsperson. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with an excellent work ethic. The successful candidate will take pride in their work and demonstrate an ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment.

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• General grounds and garden maintenance including operation of ride on mowers, brush cutters, edging, whipper snipping and light chainsaw work
• Maintenance of the irrigation system and water requirements to all garden and lawn areas
• Pest and weed control
• Chemical application as necessary
• Carrying out duties within specifications and timeframes as instructed by the Head Groundsperson

The successful candidate should have:

• Current Victorian manual drivers licence
• Trade certificate or equivalent
• Chainsaw Licence
• Previous experience in parks and garden maintenance including ride on mowers and brush cutting
• Experience operating a frontend loader
• Basic machinery maintenance knowledge
• Problem solving skills
• Must be willing to follow OH&S guidelines as instructed - at all times
• Chemical user's certificate or equivalent
• Must be fit, energetic and capable of completing set tasks to the highest quality finish
• Good interpersonal skills and be customer service focused
