Contract Resources, established in 1989, is a dynamic global organisation providing specialised Industrial and Mechanical services to Refineries, LNG, Petrochemical and Industrial Plants. We have operations based in Australia, New Zealand and Middle East. Our client services include, Catalyst Handling, Mechanical Services, Tank Cleaning, Environmental Services, Industrial Coatings and Pipeline Services. We are currently looking for an experienced Breathing Air & Mechanical Services Technician to work at our Lytton, Queensland workshop. Candidates are required to have a strong commitment to workplace Health & Safety and key responsibilities and requirements will include;
  
Breathing Air

  • Service and repair multiple types and styles of Breathing Apparatus (BA) and breathing apparatus ancillaries such as panels, regulators, gas detectors and communications systems
  • Coordinate the recertification and recalibration of equipment as flagged from the asset management system
  • Attend product training for BA systems as required
  • Manage relationships with contractors and service providers and coordinate work performed by outside vendors

  
Catalyst Handling & Mechanical Services

  • Prepare project equipment for dispatch
  • Manage the receipt, stocktake and refurbishment of Catalyst handling & mechanical services support kits,
  • Perform electrical test and tagging and heights safety equipment inspections and logs
  • Liaise with site contacts to coordinate the movement of all equipment on Client and Project sites

  
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role encompassing multiple trade disciplines along with 5+ years’ experience in equipment maintenance roles. Experience working in a demanding, deadline driven workplace is required and the individual must be self driven and be able to work in a team based work structure.
