The Roles
SNP are currently seeking an experienced Security Officer to work Part-time at the Qantas Freight facility based at Adelaide Airport. This roles are covered by the Security Services Industry Award 2010.
Your main responsibilities will include
- Operating cargo examination equipment
- Access control, including to Airside
- Conducting ETD examinations
- Using 2-way radios or mobile phones
- Arming and Disarming an Alarm System
- Maintaining and controlling relevant equipment e.g. keys, swipe cards, radios
- Reporting incidents and breach of Security immediately
- Completing documentation that accompanies any of the above activities, including access registers, checklists etc
To be considered for the role you must
- Hold an Aviation Security Identification Card or have the ability to obtain
- Hold a valid security licence and a Cert II in Security Operations & current First Aid
- Be prepared to work AM/PM shift work rosters
- Have strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Able to work well and remain calm under pressure
- Have effective communication skills – both verbal and written communication
- Demonstrate a strong customer focus and be able to live our values
- Be capable of learning new skills quickly
