Our client

Our client is a national service provider of industrial machinery who are known for being an industry leader in their respective field. Embedding their brand in the local market, they have seen significant growth in their business and have become Australia’s largest privately owned and operated industrial machinery company. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, they are looking to appoint a Branch Supervisor at their Truganina site in this newly created role. This role will see you leading a team of workshop mechanics and field technicians, and to work cross functionally with the parts, Rental and Retails divisions.

The Role:
  • To lead and drive a strong safety culture across the workshop. This will be done through a change program specifically focused on behaviours and accountability
  • Provide strong leadership, coaching and mentoring to the workshop team
  • Deliver outstanding customer service & communication
  • Lead the team to ensure all work schedules and activities with customers are in place
  • Labour & Maintenance planning to meet scheduled work
  • Deliver planned service, operation and financial outcomes through innovation and efficiency
  • Work closely with customers around to ensure service levels are maintained, problem solve issues and work on collaborate efficiency projects
  • Deliver KPI’s on uptime, reliability and on time service
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are met on time and in a manner that exceeds clients’ expectations
  • Plan, review and coordinate all customer engagement activities
  • Strong focus on customer communication at all touch points
  • Work closely with the leadership group to ensure strong growth and continuous improvement of systems and service delivery
  • Monitor the work flow via audits and regular communication throughout the day
  • Interact with customers to review and measure field service professionalism and effectiveness
About you:
  • Mechanical qualifications with a technical trade background. You must have previous experience with hydraulics
  • Safety conscious with the mind-set of Safety being number one priority
  • Similar industry with skills aligned to the requirements of the role, industries such as Engineering Services, Construction, Mechanical Trade or Earth Moving Equipment would be preferred.
  • Have the ability to work in a fast paced high pressured environment
  • Hold strong leadership qualities and style with proven ability to motivate a diverse team of technical trades employees through collaboration and engagement in multi site locations
  • Have a technical and commercial mind-set with a high attention to details
  • Be an approachable leader with a calming nature however hold a strong structure and discipline
  • Be a customer centric person who has proven ability to coordinate closely with clientele
  • Have proven ability in applying a continuous improvement approach within your experience as well as have the ability to be commercially and strategically focused
  • Experience improving performance through people and process, including the developing of systems in line with business requirement.
