Macs Engineering and Opposite Lock is a highly regarded light/medium engineering company and manufacturer and supplier of light vehicle and truck bodies, third party equipment, accessories and services to the mining, energy, infrastructure and Government sectors.
Macs Engineering requires experienced light to medium boilermakers and welders with tray building experience for its growing workload.
The people we are looking for:
- Prior experience (2 to 3 years) preferred
- Boilermaking, sheetmetal or welding qualification and/or relevant experience (MIG and TIG)
- Ability to read from drawings
- Problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Work as part of a team
- Work with minimal supervision
Ideally, you will be someone who goes the extra mile, has a passion for what they do and above all prides themselves on their reliability and quality of work.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manufacture from drawings, light to medium fabricated light vehicle and truck trays and mechanical and general engineering
- Experience using manufacturing machinery such as presses, guillotines and welders
- Ensuring manufacturing is completed within quality and time guidelines and in a safe manner
