This well known company in rentals, sales and servicing of material handling equipment currently has a newly created position available for a Forklift Mechanic/Field Service Techinian. This position will start off as a temporary role but after a short qualifing time frame will change to a permanent position for the right applicant. Working a 38hour week your hours of work will be 7.30am Monday to Thursday and 7.30am til 2pm on Fridays.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your main responsibilities will include, but not limited to;
- Servicing forklifts ranging from 2.5t to 12t. Forklifts are diesel, LPG and electric.
- Preventive maintenance servicing and breakdown call outs for the fleet
- Accessing equipment including scissor lifts and boom lifts both electric and diesel powered
- Assist in other areas of the workshop as required.
To be successful in this position, you must have;
- Trade qualification
- Strong diagnostic skills
- A forklift licence
- Previous experience as a forklift mechanic
- Current Drivers Licence
- EWP Licence (desirable but not essential)
- Your own PPE and Hand tools
Once this position becomes permanent the role will include a vehicle, mobile phone and uniform.
