Frank’s International is one of the largest Tubular Running Service (TRS) providers in the world. Our global network includes approximately 60 service bases, our products and services span the lifecycle of a well, including drilling, evaluation completion, production and intervention.

We are currently recruiting for a Workshop Mechanic to join our growing team to perform mechanical repair, overhaul and commissioning of all Tubular Running Services (TRS) equipment at Frank’s Welshpool facility.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform retrofits, preventative maintenance, conduct inspections, troubleshoot, diagnose failures & deficiencies and perform necessary corrections of tubular handling equipment
  • Complete Q&A checklists and maintenance forms as required for proper maintenance / operation of equipment
  • Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operation Procedures.
  • May be required to travel to offshore / onshore locations for periodic rig visits to conduct preventative maintenance of permanently installed equipment
  • Undertake other associated tasks and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or management

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years mechanical & hydraulic experience (TRS equipment experience will be highly regarded)
  • Strong hydraulic and electronic fault finding ability
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Experience in a quality controlled workplace
  • Experience with keeping accurate service and maintenance records
  • Experience and knowledge in managing spare part inventory
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite – excel, word

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Recognised Trade certification in a Mechanical, Electrical or Hydraulics discipline (highly regarded)
