The role:
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operations of site wide electrical requirements for our Mt Rawdon open cut mine in QLD. This will include: -
- Maintaining all electrical equipment in the process plant, WTP, STP, relative booster stations and tails storage facilities
- Inspecting, servicing, adjusting, troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with statutory, regulatory and to Evolution mining standards and specifications.
- Performance testing equipment before signing off to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Carrying out all tasks as directed by the Electrical Supervisor.
- Supervising the work of electrical contractors when engaged to carry out work on site.
- Supporting the Electrical Supervisor in the development and implementation of long term strategic planning.
- Identifying and reporting potential hazards and eliminating risk taking behaviours or actions.
- Actively promoting continuous improvements to safety, operational efficiencies and cost reduction.
- Deliver and support in achieving MRO BBP Goals.
- Commit to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within own workplace and through the identification of potential risks throughout Evolution.

Are you the one?
- Relevant trade qualifications, with demonstrated experience in heavy industry maintenance & installation (preferably mining)
- Experience with pumping systems & power generation, high voltage switching & permitting systems
- Flexibility to perform a wide range of tasks within a small maintenance team
- Ability to manage a high pressure environment, and follows policies and procedures
