Job Description

• Predominantly fabrication and installation of semi frameless stainless steel and glass balustrade systems in both luxury homes and commercial projects. Occasional work on EBA sites.
• Involves stainless steel welding and fabrication both on site and in the workshop.
• The successful applicant will be working alongside experienced installers or in a friendly workshop environment.
• Ideally capable of completing installations without supervision from detailed drawings, including liasing with project foreman and other head contractor staff, and the ability to deal with issues arising on site.This comes from a high level of experience on site and we will be looking for this.
• Installation involves fixing of fabricated stainless steel and glass balustrade and building systems to decks, balconies and pool areas, and tig welding of handrails.
• Balustrade is the majority of our business, however, we build some incredibly diverse and complicated structures and assemblies from sculptures to facade elements to architectural staircases and building components. These are complex and highly detailed.
• Uniforms are provided.
• Approximately half the time will be on site and half spent in the workshop preparing and assembling components and handrails, this will depend upon the skillset of the successful applicants
• This job is diverse, successful applicants need an eagerness to learn and willingness to tackle new skills. We are focussed on balustrade systems but regularly build off the wall projects from timber staircases to furniture etc.
• Some travel is involved. Although relatively rare, we work all over Australia
• Must have a valid C class drivers license

Required Experience and Skills

• Experience in onsite installation of products/ fittings/components
• Manual Drivers Licence
• Stainless Steel welding and polishing to a very high standard
• Absolute dedication to quality
• Blue or white Card
• Physically fit, involves lifting of heavy glass panels
• Common sense and serious work ethic or you will simply not fit in with the other staff. This is not a clock watching position; it is more about regularly achieving miracles and the successful applicant would thrive on this.

Salary offered

• Hourly rate dependant on experience and skills
• Above award rates

Hours and Location

• Monday to Friday only
• 5.15am start
• Typically 40 hrs per week + overtime 
• Acacia Ridge base
