We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Fabricator Assembler to join our busy Production Team.  We are located out west in the Melbourne suburb of Melton. If you consider yourself to be Customer Service focused and are dynamic, motivated, have a proactive approach to work, with a solutions based attitude then this is for you!

What you will do:

• Assemble vehicle components,  including axles and suspensions, according to instructions on the work order and priorities set by the Manager
• Read and interpret drawings and fabricate accordingly
• Perform spray painting duties as required.
• Process all relevant work orders through the ERP system
• Train employees on basic tasks as directed by Team Leader
• Be responsible for ensuring the quality of your own work
• Adhere to good housekeeping practices and standards

You must have:

• Cert III (Fabrication) qualification
• Current Forklift license and demonstrated experience
• Heavy automotive or trailer building experience (preferred)
• LEAN Manufacturing Exposure
• High level mechanical/technical aptitude
• Demonstrated computer literacy –  ERP
• A safety focus
• Excellent attention to detail
