G.James Glass and Aluminium is Australia's leading integrated glass and aluminium manufacturer and contractor. Our privately owned family company employs over 2300 people with operations throughout Australia.
We are currently building a new extrusion plant and rebuilding our maintenance team in the Aluminium Products Division at Eagle Farm. This has led to numerous industrial electrical opportunities.
If you are a highly skilled Licenced Electrician with solid maintenance experience in a manufacturing business and are interested in joining our maintenance team we would love to hear from you.
The Role:
This role provides vital routine maintenance repairs and servicing to plant, machinery and equipment. Key responsibilities of the position will include:
- Preventative maintenance for plant and equipment
- Trouble shooting equipment faults
- Undertake modifications and design initiatives
- Adherence to current regulatory and safety standards
The Person:
To meet the requirements for this position you will possess:
- Current Qld Electrical Fitter / Mechanic licence
- Previous experience maintaining and troubleshooting equipment in a production / manufacturing environment
- Current competency with installation and maintenance of electrical equipment in hazardous areas
- Experience with fault finding / modifying Allen Bradley PLC's; network communications
- Current drivers licence
- Current LVR / CPR
The ideal person will be self motivated, reliable, an excellent communicator and willing to learn.
You will be flexible in order to adapt to the rotating shift roster (days, afternoons and nights) and be available to attend possible after hours call-outs.
