Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Services is part of the Industry Services Global Business Line, and it includes NDT, Materials Testing, Specialist Services, Welding Services and NDT Training and Consulting.

About the role:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the NDT Trainee will work with a small team to commence a career in Non-Destructive Testing. We would love to hear from individuals who are mechanically minded and are keen to learn and gain qualifications in this field. School leavers are encouraged to apply. This is an excellent permanent full-time opportunity to work in a very supportive global business with a local branch.

Skills and experience:

The essential requirements of this role include:

  • A positive safety attitude
  • Year 12 math or trade qualification
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work away from Gladstone base for periods of time
  • Able to work hours to meet client requirements
  • Good analytical skills and problem-solving ability
  • Good vision
  • Willing to follow instructions and procedures
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Australian manual driver's license 

Desired skills and experience include:

  • Flexibility in working arrangements with opportunity for overtime & weekend work
  • Being able to work autonomously but also in a small team environment
