This is a varied and interesting role that requires aperson with quite diverse skillsas you will be working with White Cyprus Pine timber, steel, plastic, fibreglass & rope, and includes the manufacture of parts from raw materials, and the preparation of items and generally making ready of jobs for the installation teams.

Primarily you will be working with timber; using various machinery (see below), of which you will have previous experience, the duties are factory based. A Forklift Licence is essential but may be obtained after commencement.

Hours:7.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday(No weekend work!)
A standard week is 38 hours per week with overtime paid at time/half.

This is a permanent full time long termposition.

Incentives:An Attendance Bonus is paid for unused Personal / Sick Leave, this equates to 2 weeks pay per year of unused sick/personal leave!
Pay rate:$30 per hour + Super(depending on skills and experience) plus full entitlements (e.g. Holiday pay, Personal/sick leave).

Required skills:

• Experienced and skilled in the use ofall hand tools
• Able to safely use woodworking machinery including, but not limited tocutting, drilling, rip saws, trenching machines, docking saws, sanding machines, routering of WCP timber
• Experienced and accurate in measuring, marking and assembling components
• Able to read plans and technical drawings
• Checking and quality control
• Experienced in forklift driving (preferred but not essential) and all aspects of materials handling
• Attention to detail and experienced in quality control
• Forklift Licence (can be obtained after commencement)
• Evidence of Trade Certification and Qualifications e.g. Cabinet Making Apprenticeship

The Job:

• Timber:Re-sawing, cutting, drilling, sanding, routering.
• Reading & interpreting plans & drawings. Measuring, marking & assembling components. Checking, smoothing & coating of finished parts. Housekeeping duties.
• Component Preparation:Cutting, drilling, finishing of steel, plastic & fibreglass components.
• Reading & interpreting plans & drawings.
• Measuring, marking & assembling components.
• Checking and quality control.
• Housekeeping duties.

The Person:

• Neat and tidy presentation
• Physically fit, strong, energetic with stamina
• Ability to lift/ maneouver heavy lengths of timber
• Mature attitude with the readiness to accept responsibility and work unsupervised once the training period is completed
• Maintain a high standard of workmanship without supervision
• Fluent English
• Attention to detail is imperative
• Ability to use initiative and work autonomously
