Landscaper (Structural) – Leading Hand
We are hiring! Definition Landscape and Design build some of Brisbane's most unique and beautiful residential gardens. We are a well-regarded, growing company looking for a Leading Hand to join our team full-time.
An eye for detail, passion for quality, strong work ethic, and commitment to providing exceptional client service is paramount.
As part of an award winning landscape team, you will enjoy successfully leading the construction of premium residential landscape projects and be looking to expand your caree within our business.
Suitable candidates to join this growing business will hold the following:
- Trade qualification (Landscape Construction – Cert III or higher)
- Construction Industry White Card
- Current QLD Driver's License
- Minimum 5 years landscape construction experience (current)

- Initiative and ability to lead by example
- Ability to work positively within a small team, engaging well with staff/clients/subcontractors.
- Physical fitness, good health and core body strength
Suitable candidates will engage in the following workplace attributes:
- Effectively manage 1-5 landscapers / labourers / contractors to ensure efficient construction progress.
- Manage project timeframes and materials to effectively forward construction
- Manage material orders and budgets.
- Participate in 'on the job training' for apprentices and junior staff.
- Ability to read and understand drawn plans and written procedures.
- Complete construction to a very high quality, with excellent attention to detail.
- Implement proactive worksite safety management.
- Lead by example and show a strong sense of initiative.
- Skill and experience in earthworks, concreting, paving/tiling, decking/carpentry, retaining, fencing, garden edging, drainage, irrigation, lighting, planting/turfing, etc.
- Competent computer skills (word, email, etc).
Employment Details and Benefits:
Your employment with Definition will begin on a full-time basis (minimum 38hr/week).
- $26/hr - $32/hr (full time)

- Superannuation (9.5% on top of base wage)

- Uniform (shirt/jumper/hat)
- Vehicle allowance where used for work purposes other than transport to/from worksite.
- Annual income package value approx. $68 - $82 000 (based on 38hr/week x 52 weeks year: includes hourly rate, annual leave and loading, super and special industry & travel allowances, fuel card, phone.)
*Remuneration is in line with experience*
