THE ROLE & PROJECT
The WA New Schools Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project will see 8 high priority new government schools delivered across a number of Western Australian growing metropolitan communities. Under the PPP model, the new schools will be financed, designed, constructed and maintained by the private sector to high contractual standards over 32 years, allowing Principals and teachers to focus on student learning, rather than asset management.
The Grounds and Gardens Team Leader is to oversee and coordinate the management of WA Schools PPP school properties. The Grounds and Gardens Team Leader will assist the Contract Management Team in day to day operations in ensuring all the contract service specifications are met in accordance to the contract; considering the requirements to provide a healthy and safe learning environment for the Students, School Operators. The Grounds and Gardens Team Leader will ensure a high standard of garden maintenance, within the PPP School sites and that each area is managed to the contract specification and at the frequency required by the stakeholders involved. The Grounds and Gardens Team Leader is further responsible for staff supervision and basic IR/HR management, assisting with coverage of absent staff across the contracts and stakeholder management. The Grounds and Gardens Team Leader is to assist the Facility Coordinators and Cleaning Supervisors and other maintenance teams in ensuring services are carried out efficiently with top consideration to safety regulations and quality assurance.
The Grounds and Gardens Team Leader is to attend regular site meetings and quality audits to ensure the services provided to the properties is being met and KPIs detailed by the contract adhered to. Regular audit and systems checks will need to be prepared for monthly/annually performance reporting. Weekly, monthly and annual audits will be completed by the Contract Management Team in verifying the adherence to service specifications and Work Management Systems are kept to standard.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Horticulture Certification
- Previous experience in coordinating projects and teams
- Previous experience with Landscape construction (Desirable)
