Our client specialises in the Manufacture and Refurbish of Hydraulic Components for Mining and Heavy Engineering Equipment. Due to expanded growth and successful business operations, our client is seeking CNC Machinists to join their ever growing successful and hard working team based in Pinkenba (Brisbane Inner Suburbs).

What the role entails:

• Work with computer numeric controlled (CNC) heavy machinery from setup to operation to produce parts
• Preparing programmes for parts in accordance with relevant mechanical specifications and machine input requirements
• Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings and instructions sheets
• Troubleshoot and accurately diagnose problems from a manufacturing standpoint
• Make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the specific operation
• Ensure machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality products
• Responsible for inspection of the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production

To be successful, you would have the following:

• Trade Qualification (Fitter & Turner or similar)
• CNC Machining & Lathe experience
• Fanuc Programming experience 
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in Engineering/Manufacturing
• Reliable, hard working and positive attitude
• Great safety record
• Eagerness to make role your own
