2nd Class Welder

MetroSigns, based in Epping, has been a significant player within the signage industry for over 25 years and thanks to continual growth is in need of another key resource to join the production team. The company is currently expanding & seeking a 2nd Class Welder to join the production team.  This position may lead to a permanent position, if a mutual fit for both parties.

Metro Signs design, manufacture & install a wide range of signage. The entire design and production process is performed in-house at our Epping, head office.

The successful candidate must be punctual & reliable,  & have the following key attributes and skills: -

• Responsive & accountable;
• Prompt & efficient, coupled with a positive attitude;
• Strong initiative & forward thinking
• Flexible & adaptable, willing to follow direction, enjoy working as part of a team & independently.
• Must be willing to assist with all aspects of signage manufacturing.

The role includes, but is not limited to:

• General Welding Duties;
• Working with Steel and Aluminum;
• Sheet metal experience an advantage;
• Confident and capable with using power tools;
• Key to securing this role, is experience in MIG welding.

If successful, you must be able to complete a full medical (incl. drug and alcohol) & National Police clearance. OH & S is paramount, so all assigned duties will be expected to be carried out in a safe & responsible manner in accordance with Health & Safety policies & procedures. Experience in the signage or the manufacturing environment preferable, but not mandatory.
