As Work for the Dole Supervisor you will coach, train and mentor a group of participants as they learn a variety of skills in light construction including building furniture for donation to not-for-profit organisations. This will involve demonstrating how to safely construct timber furniture and teaching job seekers skills and competencies required to enable future employment. You will also encourage participants to job search whilst supervising the group. 
 
This role will be initially offered on a full time 6 month fixed term contract. There may be a possibility of extension depending on outcomes of the program and subject to funding. 
 
Full time fixed term role - 38 Hours/week
 
 What we're looking for

• Light Construction/Building/Carpentry experience;
• Great people skills;
• Ability to motivate and coach a diverse range of people;
• Understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements;
• A current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain;
• Formal or informal experience in training or mentoring;
• An ability to use email, basic data entry and completion of forms on attendance, behaviour and incidents on site; and
• Flexibility and the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.
