We are seeking Qualified Service Technicians to service, repair and maintain commercial kitchen equipment (both Electrical and Gas appliances).

Located in Laverton North, you will be working Mon-Fri 8am-4pm, with occasional overtime available.

With previous experience as a Service Technician on Commercial Kitchen Equipment, you will take pride in the work you deliver, taking charge of the workshop and ensuring the Certified Used equipment is ready to be sent out again in a timely manner.

Client Details

Our client is Australia's only dedicated hospitality equipment funding solution. Having been in operation for over 30 years, they provide commercial kitchen and hospitality equipment to a wide range of clientele including local cafes, large restaurants, pizza shops etc.

In this role, you will be required to provide technical advice and apply your skills to ensure the efficient and effective service and repair of equipment. Maintaining relationships with contract service agents will be important.

Description

Your duties in this role will include:

• Service & Repair equipment, attend to service calls when required and provide phone support to service agents and customers
• Cost Estimation - knowing whether it is worth repairing the equipment based on the cost of the repair
• Maintain and develop personal knowledge in area of expertise
• Support contract service agents as required
• Advise on contracts with Service Agents to ensure that service provision is within agreed performance standards and within cost and timeliness standards
• Assist management with the development of strategies, policies and procedures to ensure appropriate service invoicing and parts procurement to meet corporate objectives.
• Maintain and develop personal knowledge in area of expertise

In addition to the above, you will safety conscious reporting any OH&S issues to the team leader, and carry out your own work with a high standard and with due care and attention.

Profile

As well as being a trade qualified Refrigeration Mechanic, Electrician and/or Gas Fitter, you will have:

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Service Technician
• Experience in the service/repair of hospitality/commercial kitchen appliances will be highly regarded
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• A sound level of interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, negotiate and communicate with a range of internal and external clients
• Solid written and verbal skills
• Effective planning, organisational and problem solving skills
• Sound computer literacy
• High level of initiative and dependability
• Fork Lift Licence will be highly regarded
• First-Aid Qualification will be highly regarded
