BAEG is seeking an experienced service professional for it's premium range of hydraulic hammers, demolition attachments and rockbreaking boom systems, to source and execute service, sales and hire opportunities for the company's attachment range.
BA Equipment Group was established in Perth, Western Australia in 2012. Our mission is to provide outstanding customer service for our range of hydraulic hammers, demolition attachments and rockbreaking boom system customers in the civil construction, demolition, quarrying and mining industries.
BAEG is an official distributor of Epiroc hydraulic hammers and demolition attachments in Western Australia, Northern Territory and Queensland.
About the role
The role - Your focus will be to provide hydraulic expertise and support to the business both in the workshop and on site. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be joining a growing team that is an integral part of the business, facing the client in many situations.
The desired candidate will have relevant experience and a proven track record in delivering successful outcomes. Your mechanical aptitude and hydraulic skills will allow you to become an integral part of the workshop team in a multifaceted business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Pre-deliver new equipment and strip, assess, report on and repair equipment in accordance with manufacturer's instructions in a timely manner to support the Sales and Service activities of the branch
- Carry out hydraulic installation of attachments onto mobile earthmoving equipment and accurately carry out flow and pressure checks using a flow meter and other test gauges during installation to ensure that the attachment works as designed at all times
- Schematics – recording and reporting findings/observations where necessary.
- Assembly, disassembly, troubleshooting and assessment/diagnosis of equipment provided to BAEG for service and repair using hand and machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Travel to and work on site for short periods as required for equipment installation and trouble shooting.
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will:
- Be a professional and experienced trades person
- Have experience with hydraulic equipment and attachments
- Have excellent communication and time management skills
- Be a flexible team player willing and able to work overtime as required to ensure customer and business needs are met
- Have proven hydraulic experience in attachments and earthmoving equipment
- Have welding and machining skills
- Have a logical approach to tasks
- Ability to learn new skills
- Be an enthusiastic and motivated self starter
