About the Role
Working with an experienced and highly dedicated team, this position will be responsible for delivering a high quality of service as well as ensuring all steel fabrication and welding requirements are met.
Duties & Responsibilities
- General steel fabrication duties.
- Daily workload management ensuring that all projects are attended to promptly.
- Ensuring that all cutting and preparation of steel components is completed promptly.
- Completing some structural welding, as required.
- Effectively reading and interpreting shop drawings.
- Management of material inventory, ensuring all inventory is ordered as required.
- Deliver a professional level of service at all times.
- Maintain an accurate record of work performed.
Skills & Experience
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- High energy and motivated to succeed.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Ability to develop, maintain and grow business relationships.
- Boilermaker Trade Certificate/Qualification.
- A minimum of three years experience in the metal industry.
- WTIA Certificate No.8G
