Corpus Christi College has an opportunity for two full-time Kitchen Porters (37.5 hours per week) to provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the College kitchens.

The purpose of these roles is to ensure the overall cleanliness of the kitchen and surrounding areas and to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and safety.  Duties will include the thorough cleaning of kitchen pots, pans and cooking utensils. Loading the dishwasher with crockery and cutlery items, overseeing the operation of the machine and unloading and stacking items away. Clearing trolleys loaded with dirty plates, ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of all food stores and fridges as well as all the waste bins. Emptying the waste food bins and disposal of all waste including kitchen rubbish, cardboard, waste paper and bottles.           

We are seeking applicants who are reliable, team players with an adaptable manner and a willingness to undertake training and looking to learn and develop within the role.  Ideally applicants will have a good understanding of current Food Safety and relevant Health and Safety legislation. This role is vital in helping us deliver customer satisfaction whether it is the day-to-day collegiate catering or our high-end catering at College functions and our conference business.

Working hours are on a shift basis for 5 out of 7 days.  Previous relevant experience would be highly desirable as would be the ability to start immediately.
