Location: City South Campus

The Faculty of Health Education and Life Sciences in Birmingham City University is seeking an exceptional candidate to lead through a period of unprecedented growth and development. Birmingham City University is investing £41 Million in a purpose built development. The 10,500m² building at City South Campus in Edgbaston will enable the University to offer a wide range of new health, life science and sports courses.

From September 2017, the newly created Department of Life Sciences will be welcoming students onto the BSc Biomedical Sciences (Hons) course. The lectureship in Biomedical Sciences will contribute to the teaching and research activity on this course.

We are seeking to appoint a candidate with experience of one or more of the following areas (Cell biology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Physiology, Pharmacology, Physiology, or other relevant disciplines). Applications are also invited from Biomedical Science Practitioners. Ideally the post holder will have completed a PhD in a relevant discipline and be research active.
