About the role:

The Faculty of Medical Science (FMS) opened in September 2014 and is the newest of Anglia Ruskin University’s (ARU) five faculties. Currently comprising of two departments, it will become home to the third, the new School of Medicine, which is planned to open in September 2018 subject to GMC approval.

We’re seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer with an enthusiastic approach and passion for Public Health, and ideally with experience in public health settings or real-life applications. We’ve a recently re-validated BSc in Public Health which recruits well, a thriving MSc Public Health programme, and exciting plans for expansion, innovation and development to cater for our UK and international markets.

With a PhD or professional doctorate (if you do not already have a PhD or Professional Doctorate, you’ll be required to register to undertake one within 18 months of commencing employment), you’ll have knowledge of the broad disciplines that underpin the study of Public Health. You’ll be committed to exploring and sharing this knowledge with our students, and to offering them the best possible experience whilst studying with us, including developing opportunities to contextualise their acquired knowledge and understanding in public health and/or research settings. You’ll have relevant experience of teaching students at Higher Education (HE) level and evidence of good leadership skills.
