An exciting opportunity has arisen for bright, determined individuals to join Coventry University’s Finance service as a Project Accountant. These posts are part of a team which provides financial management and business partnering support to the University’s Academic Faculties and Professional Services and ensures the provision of a consistent, high quality management accounting service to the University.
These roles will be responsible for providing support to the growing number of corporate projects and initiatives, and they will also support Faculty projects and initiatives and help to drive consistency and improvements across common areas of working. The specific responsibilities of the post include project work around consistency, developments in reporting, forecasting and management information. Additionally the role will contribute in supporting the completion of budgets, forecasts and management accounts to strict deadlines, taking a proactive role in effective communication with budget holders. This role is also involved in providing strategic accounting advice to colleagues across the University as directed by Senior Managers.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience of management accounting and detailed knowledge of financial modelling, planning and reporting. They will ideally possess a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA.
