Part-time, permanent – 18.5 hrs per week.

Applications are invited for the above post to contribute to our BA (Hons) Commercial Photography course. The course provides a student centred learning environment where bold and innovative approaches to the broad study of creatively focused commercial photography aim to challenge existing boundaries of contemporary photographic practice.

You will be enthusiastic and well informed about the broad area of specialist and contemporary fashion practices within photography, including studio and location lighting, the role of the creative team in production, fashion film and an awareness of contemporary contexts and trends.

You will also be flexible in your approach to photographic education and open to development and training within the discipline.

Educated to Masters level, the successful candidate will be capable of managing the effective learning of students through devising briefs, delivering inspiring workshops and active involvement in the assessment process. You must have relevant industry experience and ideally previous experience in Higher Education. You will also hold a teaching qualification or Higher Education Academy (HEA) Associate Fellow Membership, or be willing to gain this within two years of appointment.This position seeks to appoint someone who can enhance the ethos of excellence both on the course and at the Arts University.
