The University of Nottingham is a research-intensive university with a proud heritage, consistently ranked among the top one per cent in the world. We have 44,000 students, over 8,000 staff and have been awarded Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework.

As an HR Business Partner you will be expected to have a deep understanding of strategic objectives and important operational issues. You will be a key contact within HR to ensure that HR delivers according to the University’s 2020 strategy, working in partnership with colleagues to provide business focused solutions which contribute to the continuing success of the University.

You will advise, coach and influence senior stake holders on strategic HR-related matters and organisational objectives such as: performance management; organisational design and development; change management; and strategic resourcing. Playing a crucial role in the successful delivery of the University’s people strategy, you will lead and participate in projects, delivering business objectives and initiatives.

The successful candidate must be a graduate and CIPD qualified with generalist HR experience, preferably in a similar role. The role demands a professional and pro-active approach in addressing strategic priorities, managing organisational change and providing HR solutions.  Working closely with University leaders, you must be an excellent communicator with strong influencing, analytical and critical reasoning skills.

In return, you will be supported in developing your career, allowing you to progress towards your career goals in a friendly environment. We are able to offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including a generous holiday allowance and pension scheme. You will also have access to excellent sport, leisure and childcare facilities across our campuses.

This is a re-advertisement and previous candidates need not apply.

If shortlisted for interview, you will be asked to attend in Nottingham on 25 October 2017.
