This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an exceptional team of motivated and enthusiastic nurses, based at the Southampton General Hospital, responsible for running a portfolio of early phase clinical research trials, including academic & pharmaceutical studies.

We are seeking an individual with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, who thrives on working independently and as part of a unique team.

The diversity of the role requires significant experience in oncology and the necessary interpersonal skills to support cancer patients taking part in clinical trials. You will require the expertise to perform cannulation and venesection and be obliged to administer unlicensed drugs and vaccines. A full induction & orientation programme will be provided.

The role requires a weekday work pattern with some degree of flexibility on working hours and days. Some out of hours & night duty may be required.

The University of Southampton offers 30 days annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays with an additional 6 extra statuary leave days over Easter & Christmas (all pro-rata for part time staff).

This post will require an Enhanced DBS check.
