We are seeking an energetic research support officer with a scientific background and lots of initiative to join the Diabetes Medical Informatics & Epidemiology Unit within the Institute of Genetics and Molecular Medicine at University of Edinburgh. The Unit is an internationally recognised leader in research in diabetes using large biorespositories linked to electronic health care record data. We carry out large scale, data intensive research studies with international and national collaborators. We are seeking a science graduate to support the co-ordination of research activity and to support the process of scientific publication of the work and grant funding application. A degree in scientific discipline, high level of computer skills in using relevant software, and experience in diary management, and knowledge of the process of grant preparation and scientific publication, are among the skills required.
