Detail information about job Research Associate (Fixed Term). Terms and conditions vacancy
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated PDRA to join the University of Bath. You will be an instrumental team member working as part of an EPSRC Early Career Fellowship awarded to Dr. Ruth Webster.
You will be investigating iron catalysts for the manipulation of phosphines. Phosphines are indispensable structures for key chemical manufacturing industries; this project aims to develop atom efficient catalytic P-C bond forming reactions using the simplest sources of phosphorus. Mechanistic investigations are key to success, allowing us to unravel the finer details of the catalytic cycles involved and thus inform future reaction development.
A proven track record in air-sensitive organometallic/coordination/phosphorus chemistry is highly desirable. Good organisational, presentation and interpersonal skills are essential as is the desire to collaborate with the group’s academic partners.
This is a fixed term position for up to 36 months with a start date as soon as possible after interview.
For information on the research group or an informal discussion about the position please contact Ruth ([email protected])
The University of Bath is committed to equality of opportunity. We invite applications from candidates irrespective of their gender, age, disability, ethnicity, sexual orientation or religious beliefs. We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented groups, including women.
