Sitting within our Global Recruitment & Admissions function, the UK Recruitment and Outreach team is responsible for the recruitment of UK undergraduates and postgraduates and for widening participation. We play a key role in ensuring that the University delivers against our targets as set out in our Access Agreement; increasing applications from those in under-represented groups in the UK to Higher Education and to the University of Reading.
In this role you will deliver effective subject-related outreach in the sciences to young people to enthuse them about the subject areas and to help them to make informed choices about their future and HE options, including those at the University of Reading.

You will have:
- Very strong presentation and audience engagement skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with a wide range of people.
- Strong knowledge of the broad subject area of the sciences, with a degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience.
- Good understanding of the higher education sector and the student recruitment cycle.
- Experience of working with young people.
- Experience of administration and organisation (e.g. of events or activities).
