Role
We are seeking to appoint an autonomous and talented qualitative researcher to undertake research as part of the MifeMiso trial funded by the NIHR Health Technology Assessment Programme [grant number 15/160/02]. The MifeMiso trial aims to investigate the clinical and cost-effectiveness of MifeMiso combination versus misoprostol alone in the management of missed miscarriage. Within the trial is a mixed-methods process evaluation to explore the satisfaction of patients who complete the trial protocol. Semi-structured interviews will further investigate women’s experiences of miscarriage and their satisfaction with medical management of missed miscarriage.
The post-holder will be located in the Institute of Applied Health Research at the University of Birmingham but will spend time within the Tommy’s National Centre for Miscarriage Research based at Birmingham Women’s Hospital. The post offers an exciting opportunity to work within an internationally leading miscarriage research team at the University of Birmingham. Experience of working in miscarriage research would be advantageous.
