Lincoln International Business School is seeking to appoint a Research Assistant to work on an exciting new project.
CORA is a European-funded research project focusing on digital infrastructure and services. The project will be delivered by a partnership of universities and local authorities from seven countries in the North Sea Region. It will involve testing new approaches to reducing the digital divide and improving the digital capabilities of businesses and communities in rural areas.
The University of Lincoln will lead on the development of policy briefings to ensure that the learning and know-how developed through the project are disseminated to a wide range of stakeholders. The Research Assistant will be responsible for conducting research on the project, producing written reports and policy briefings, attending project meetings and helping to organise workshops, and assisting with day-to-day project management and financial reporting. Experience of research into business use of broadband and digital technologies and/or regional economic development would be beneficial. The Research Assistant will report to the Principal Investigator in Lincoln International Business School, but the role will involve liaising with colleagues across the University and with external partners and stakeholders.
The role is a 0.5 full time equivalent post (18.5 hours/week; 2.5 days/week) for a 3 year fixed term period. The post will involve some international travel to attend project meetings and conferences.
