Overview:  Mechanical Engineering is one of the core undergraduate programs at Griffith University offered since 2012. At Griffith, the Mechanical Engineering major is focused around materials and manufacturing, thermofluids, structures and mechanical design.

It is expected that the candidate take up duty well before beginning of Trimester 1, 2018.

This is a continuing, full time position primarily based at the Gold Coast campus, however the successful applicant may also be required to work on other campuses of the University.

The role:  This teaching focused academic position contributes to the delivery and development of courses offered in the undergraduate Engineering program with a major in Mechanical Engineering. This position has a teaching and learning focus and should contribute to the transition from traditional course delivery to experiential learning orientated teaching modes. Areas within Mechanical Engineering in which we are seeking to strengthen our teaching capacity include: Fluids and CFD, Thermofluids, and HVAC.

The person:  The successful candidate will have relevant teaching, research and professional links in Mechanical Engineering to strengthen the discipline's teaching and research capability in the thermofluids area. You must have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and will need to demonstrate the ability to undertake high-quality research of national and international standing. The successful appointee will be able to demonstrate the ability to gain external research funding and to supervise higher degree students.

Salary range: Lecturer, Level B:  $90,697 - $107,706 per annum. Salary package including 17% employer superannuation contribution: $106,116 - $126,017 per annum.
