A Research Technician is post available to join Professor Timothy Walsh and his team in the Institute of Infection and Immunity, School of Medicine. The research technician will be joining an experienced team of microbiologists addressing antimicrobial resistance in low –middle income countries in a project specific role.

A degree and a working background in microbiology with experience in antimicrobial susceptibility testing is a requirement of this role. Experience with techniques used in molecular biology are desirable.

This project is funded by the Gates Foundation and is due to run until 31st March 2018. Our international partners include: Rwanda, Nigeria, Cape Town, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Ethiopia and India. This is a very exciting project and we are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the team.
