A research assistant position is available in the group of Dr. Kevin Moreau at the Institute of Metabolic Science, University of Cambridge. You will participate in an exciting program of research investigating unconventional protein trafficking pathways using genome-wide screens (kevinmoreaulab.wixsite.com/cambridge).

An important part of the role will be analysis of data, the presentation of research work and data within the Institute, nationally and internationally and to prepare and submit research for publication in peer-reviewed journals. You will also assist in providing instruction to graduate students and other members of the research group in the use of specialist molecular biology techniques.

Applicants should have a BSc, or equivalent degree, in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or a related discipline. You must possess practical expertise and skills in the use of modern molecular biology and mammalian cell culture including CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing and production of lentivirus. Previous experience with CRISPR screen will be an advantage.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 18 months in the first instance.
