The UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health (GOS ICH) is organised around five academic programmes; Developmental Biology and Cancer, Developmental Neurosciences, Genomics and Genomic Medicine, Infection, Immunity, Inflammation and Physiological Medicine and Population, Policy and Practice and a cross cutting theme which addresses rare diseases. In conjunction with Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) and as part of UCL, the UCL GOS Institute of Child Health is one of the leading centres in the world for child health research and education.

We are looking to appoint an Executive Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support to the Institute Director and Institute Manager and to support the smooth functioning of the Director’s Office.

The ideal candidate will have PA experience, preferably at Director Level, be able to work independently, using initiative and prioritise work under the pressure of competing demands and tight deadlines while maintaining high standards. S/he will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to deal effectively and professionally with a range of people at all levels both within and outside the University.

S/he will be able to manage a busy and complex diary and have experience of servicing high level committees.
