An exciting opportunity has arisen for a School level Projects Officer to join a vibrant and successful team in the School of Health and Social Work, at the University of Hertfordshire. The post holder will work in collaboration with Dean of School and School Administration Manager undertaking a range of project management and co-ordination roles to support the delivery of education, research, business and enterprise across a broad portfolio.  The post holder will provide support and leadership for strategic and operational projects and change initiatives, including managing and delivering a portfolio of assigned projects, and taking responsibility for the delivery of successful project outcomes within an agreed scope.  The post holder will be responsible for line managing a defined group of professional administrative support staff and will provide high-level administrative support to the School Executive Group across a broad range of activities.

You should have a good first degree, preferably with relevant project management qualifications and experience of leading or managing projects or other change management initiatives.  You will have excellent analytical and communication skills, proven experience of leading or managing teams, be pro-active and able to work on your own initiative with ability to influence and engage with staff at all levels in the School, University and engaging with external stakeholders e.g. NHS providers.  You will have strong IT skills and be able to use the full suite of MS Office applications to a high level.
