You will analyse data and write papers on determinants and consequences of cardiometabolic disease in ethnic minority groups (South Asian and African Caribbean), living in the UK. For this you will use data collected on repeated clinical sweeps of the Southall and Brent Revisited (SABRE) cohort, with detailed echocardiography, large vessel imaging and cerebral MRI, as well as longitudinal data on risk factors including metabolomic and genetic data. Post holders will work in a strong, multi-disciplinary unit that focuses on the determinants and consequences of cardiometabolic disease, and will have opportunities to work on other population cohorts at UCL. Post holders are also encouraged to collaborate with other research groups at UCL.

This post is funded for 2 years in the first instance.

The candidate should have a PhD (or equivalent degree). Candidates will have published research papers, and show evidence of strong analytical skills.
