Wintec KSA is a New Zealand company that operates a cluster of male and female COE colleges in the Tabuk region.
We have created several new roles, including Head of Foundation Studies, Head of Vocational Studies and Head of Quality. Reporting to the Chief Executive, these three positions provide functional leadership across the three colleges.
The Head of Vocational Studies is responsible for:
- managing all aspects of the multiple vocational curriculums and delivery material, resources, and reviews to ensure quality and consistency
- manage the development and implementation of new vocational specialisms
- manage internal and external assessment, and align all assessment to the SSS qualification framework, to monitor student progress and learning and ensure consistency
- lead on all vocational related queries and visits, both internal and external (COE, TVTC and SSS).
A key part of this role is building positive and productive relationships with the Deans, Lead Teachers (Vocation), the male and female vocational teaching teams are working very closely with the Head of Foundation Studies to ensure the integration of technical English and we continue to improve student outcomes and college success.
We are interested in hearing from people with:
- a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or similar relevant qualification and Diploma in a technical subject
- a Recognised professional teaching qualification and ideally five years of vocational teaching experience
- proven record of curriculum management as well as curriculum development and design methodology focussed on improving student outcomes and meeting external assessment criteria
- experience leading, coaching and mentoring teachers
- skilled in the use of teaching and learning methodologies to enhance student progression and attainment
- experience providing functional leadership to a diverse group of teachers across multiple disciplines
- IELTS 7.5 or Native English speaker
- preferably Middle East experience.
You will have demonstrated experience of creating a quality culture and engaging a wide range of roles and cultures. You will need to be persuasive, resilient, a team player and be able to set a clear direction to achieve clear outcomes.
