Fixed term for 24 months

Grade 6 - Full time starting salary is normally in the range £26,052 to £28,452. With potential progression once in post to £32,004 a year.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide dedicated College-based support to improve the Postgraduate (PG) student experience in the College of Arts and Law. An excellent facilitator, the post-holder will devise and complement initiatives led by the Operations Managers for Student Experience and PG Education in the College, and relevant academic and Professional Services colleagues in the College and related areas across the University. This post would be particularly suitable for a recent graduate and/or current PG student in the College.

Reporting to Professional Services colleagues in the College and working closely with the College Director of Education and Director and Deputy Director(s) of the College Graduate School, the PG Student Experience Officer (SEO) will devise and deliver a wide range of student experience activities that meet College strategic objectives to improve the post-graduate student experience in the College. They will also contribute to strategic planning and evaluation, be able to identify further opportunities for enhancement and be able to review and evaluate current provision in the College in this area, working closely with other relevant areas (e.g. University and College Graduate Schools, the Guild of Students).

The post-holder will use their judgement in solving problems and will work effectively and collaboratively with staff at all levels in the College and University.

The ideal candidate will become a visible and friendly presence for students in the College and be just as willing to co-ordinate a student exhibition as contributing to student induction programmes, reviewing student survey results and drafting formal action plans.

The post holder may occasionally be required to work evenings or weekends in order to meet service requirement.
