The University of Bradford School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice (0.6FTE), to strengthen our sector-leading teaching of Clinical Pharmacy at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The post holder will work closely with the Programme Leader for our new suite of Postgraduate Primary Care MScs to develop and deliver modules, including in Advanced Therapeutics.
The post holder will also contribute to teaching professional and clinical practice through developing, delivering and assessing teaching on the undergraduate and post-graduate programmes, including our Clinical Sciences and Physicians Associate courses and independent prescribing.
The post holder will be experienced practitioner, with prior experience of teaching pharmacists or pharmacy students. Applicants should have a professional background that includes working in the primary care, community or hospital sector. You should hold a postgraduate qualification (diploma or PhD) or have significant practice experience. You will join a truly innovative School of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, with a fully integrated MPharm based on Team-based Learning, a suite of postgraduate programmes and excellence in research.
You will be an experienced and enthusiastic teacher and take a proactive role in developing new learning materials alongside our highly experienced and supportive team. An independent prescribing qualification is an advantage, as is maintaining current clinical practice.
This is a teaching focused post. The post holder will have the opportunity to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students undertaking research work and to participate in research activities in the School.
