The University of Sussex is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to take a lead role within an exciting transformational change programme. The SAAT (Student and Academic Administration Transformation) Programme aims to make significant improvements for students and staff across the University, through a business-led approach to service design at all stages of the student journey.
The ITPM will act as Technical Workstream Lead, and is responsible for the IT workstream of the SAAT programme. This includes sponsoring, leading, mobilising, managing, and delivering the systems solution of the programme, including the management of the relationship with our Technology Partner and ITS/ technical contract staff on the programme – working in partnership with the Change Partner and other third-party suppliers.
This is a critical and senior role within the University's IT Services division, and the successful candidate will demonstrate a background in the successful delivery of IT Projects, including supplier management, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to influence and negotiate at a senior level, including contributing to and shaping policy and strategy, and will enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced, results-driven and changing environment.
