An exciting opportunity for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Animal Science has arisen within the School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Sciences at our Brackenhurst campus.  The School is located in a 200-hectare estate near the attractive Minster town of Southwell. There is a range of fully equipped laboratories, a companion animal unit, veterinary nursing facility and equestrian centre as well as commercial beef and sheep herds.

The successful candidate will primarily teach on our range of animal science courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Subjects to be covered (both in theory and linked seminar/practical sessions) may include one or more areas from the following: Animal science; nutrition and feeding; comparative anatomy and physiology; reproductive physiology; genetics.

The applicant sought for this post will be a strong animal scientist, hold a teaching qualification and be an experienced and highly motivated lecturer. You will hold a postgraduate degree level qualification, be research active with relevant publications and have international networks. It is essential that you have provided student support and UG dissertation support.

You will need to be well organised, able to take responsibility, have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with others as a member of the academic team.
