Duration of Contract: 2 year fixed term contract
The School of Engineering and Technology is seeking to make a permanent appointment in Automotive, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, with specific knowledge and experience in Sustainable Energy Technologies in areas such as electric vehicles, fuel cells, Aeolic power and solar power.
We seek to appoint a high-achieving individual with a PhD in a relevant discipline. This role requires applicants to have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, that will benefit teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Recognised teacher’s, training will be an advantage.
The successful applicant will focus on research and development in Sustainable Energy technologies and will be expected to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, but will also be able to contribute to the School’s other activities, such as commercial work.
The School of Engineering and Technology offers degrees in in Aerospace Engineering, Aerospace Systems Engineering, Aerospace Systems Engineering with Pilot Studies, Automotive Engineering, Motorsport Engineering, Automotive / Motorsport Engineering with management, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Digital Technology.
The successful applicant will have a sustainable track record of high quality publications in international journals and experience in winning and managing research grants and will be expected to undertake the full range of duties commensurate with a research-informed, teaching School.
